Born in 1985, with a degree in labour sciences, he has been President of Gruppo CAP - the fully public green utility that manages the integrated water service in the Metropolitan City of Milan - since 2023. An expert in environmental policies and in the design and management of the waste cycle for public and private entities, Santagostino served as Mayor of the Municipality of Cornaredo from 2014 to 2023 and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Fondazione per l’Housing Sociale, which develops policies and projects supporting affordable housing. He has served as Vice President of the Association of Italian Municipalities of Lombardy, focusing on housing issues. Since January 2024, he has held the position of President of Confservizi Cispel Lombardia, the Association of Public Service Companies in Lombardy, and since July 2024, he has been member of the executive committee and water management board of Utilitalia. He is married and has two daughters.
