SGI Europe Macroeconomics Task Force focuses on preparing the contributions of the cycle of the European Semester, from the Annual Sustainable Growth Strategy to the country-specific recommendations.

Inputs take the form of direct written contributions and participation in expert meetings with the EU institutions which are restricted to social partners. In that context, members of the Macroeconomics Task Force regularly attend the Macro-economic dialogue (at technical and political level) organised by the European Commission (DG ECFIN) and the Council.

The Taskforce also monitors EU legislative and non-legislative actions when it comes to the European economic governance, as well as all matters connected to the EU investment and economic policy (MFF, InvestEU, Next Generation EU,…).
