Bundesverband Deutscher Wohnungs-und Immobilienunternehmen E.V. (GDW) – Germany

The GdW – Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs-und Immobilienunternehmen e.V. take great responsibility to look after the tenants from losing their apartment due to the corona crisis. This also includes the necessary support from the federal government. In this context, the GdW has launched the following initiatives:

• “Secured-Living Fund” GdW are in contact with the Ministry of Justice in connection with the establishment of a “Secured-Living Fund” to provide a government interest-free loan, which can be converted into a grant. This is currently being discussed with the ministries.
• Common position of the BID- The current situation also requires the real estate industry to act jointly. You can read the full statement here.
• Information platform on TIXXT- the VNW and the GdW have started to build a corona platform in TIXXT to exchange information amongst companies. All relevant information is set here. GdW is asking all regional associations to participate to avoid duplication of work and to create maximum transparency.
