SGI Europe comments on Social Economy Action Plan

On Thursday 9 December 2021, the European Commission has presented its action plan for the social economy “Building an economy that works for people”.

Commenting on the proposals, Valeria Ronzitti, SGI Europe General Secretary, said:

“In its social economy action plan, the European Commission rightly identified the main challenges for the social economy. SGI Europe warmly welcomes the communication, which provides tools to improve the visibility and recognition, financial capacities, skill development opportunities, social innovation and knowledge for social economy actors.”

“SGI Europe stands ready to contribute with its members to the upcoming announced initiatives. We aim to empower social economy actors to play an even greater role in reshaping the EU post-crisis economy and society.”
