Verkehrsverbund Tirol (VVT) - Austria

Verkehrsverbund Tirol (VVT) is currently doing everything in its power to maintain basic public transport services in the province for those people who depend on them. It is particularly important to take appropriate precautions to protect both passengers and employees as best as possible. The driver’s doors on the buses have been closed, the doors open automatically wherever technically possible and the driver has stopped selling tickets in the vehicles. The vehicles are regularly cleaned and disinfected by the transport companies.

The VVT customer center is now also closed, but the VVT staff is still available for customers via email and telephone hotline. As all cable cars, tourist businesses, schools and shops (except those providing basic services) have already closed in Tyrol and traffic restrictions have been imposed, VVT has adapted the timetable accordingly and continue to do so in the light of developing circumstances.

Furthermore, the VVT works closely with its partners in the regions to maintain public transport as close to demand as possible, as for many people in the country it is part of the basic supply chain to get to work, go shopping or go to the pharmacy.
